The property is beautiful. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment and loved the terrace with its own lemon tree. The view was incredible. One of our favorite things was having the breakfast delivered each morning and eating on the terrace. And the bed was comfortable. It was nice that you can order drinks delivered to your room or go up to the hotel lounge and order one and it has unbelievable views from there.

Our stay at IL Barilotto was great, the customer service was amazing and felt very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was great every morning and the views were amazing as well. Not very far from central positano but has a quieter vibe that is good for less traffic and commotion. Very close to Praiano which has a very authentic feel compared to Positano. We had a fantastic suite. We received an upgrade to a one-bedroom suite with a spectacular view. Our friends were placed in a junior suite next to us, which allowed us to enjoy the experience of Positano together. The rooms, and especially the outside deck and balcony, were spacious and clean. The pool area was excellent, with friendly and personable staff. Great fitness room overlooking the ocean. It is truly situated in the best location in Positano. The shuttle service was worth the price of having to valet our car.

The beauty of the town is unreal, but it is built on steep hillsides which means that narrow roads and switch backs are not recommended for the unseasoned driver not used to such terrain. If you're not in shape when you get there, you will be by time you leave. There are many, many, many steps and paths around the town. It's very picturesque but also very demanding physically. Probably not the best town for the elderly or those with physical challenges. Taxi's are the best mode of transportation though there is a good local bus system however, busses only come by hourly, and because of the congrestion they are rarely on time.

One of the most stunning places I've ever visited.
One of the most stunning places I've ever visited. Relatively unspoilt as it's difficult to reach and very expensive. Felt like an exclusive holiday location. Colourful buildings springing out of the hills, beautiful climate and STUNNING flora and fauna. All in all, one feels like one has been dropped into paradise on earth. Visiting in April is to be recommended as it feels neither too hot nor too crowded. I can't sing its praises enough. Travelling can be tricky if you have older people in your party - almost every route around the town involves steep steps. Spoilt for choice in terms of eating - we didn't have a bad meal. Shout out to Il Capitano (higher end) and Il Fornillo (slightly more reasonably priced). Recommend day trips to Pompeii and Vesuvius, the Amalfi coast (from Positano to Maiori), boat trip to Capri and Anacapri, and Sorrento.

Positano is absolutely amazing, but be ready to walk a lot...
Positano is absolutely amazing, but be ready to walk a lot of stairs, on very very steep trails. Respectfully, this place is not ideal for unfit people. Depending if you’re staying close the beach or on the upper side of the city, you will either have to take the stairs with your luggage or get a taxi, which is not cheap there.
There are a lot of good restaurants to choose from, and also very affordable, even though the city is rated to be quite expensive.
The beach is relatively small, so don’t expect to find a spot to lay down on the sand if you’re travelling during the summer season. As we visited in march, the weather was 10-18 degrees Celsius, which was prefect, also we avoided the crowds and the Mediterranean summer heat of June-August.

Is picturesque.
Is picturesque. Very hilly so if you have mobility problems would be best avoided. It is expensive even for little things like snacks I found it financially beneficial to have a proper meal. Other than that an enjoyable place to visit.

The Amalfi Coast is a beautiful destination to visit in...
The Amalfi Coast is a beautiful destination to visit in Italy. Originally, when booking this location, I thought the area was sold out-it was hard to find accommodations. But once we arrived we learned that the entire Amalfi Coast pretty much goes silent from November to late March. The area has limited restaurants open as well as hotels. So we were lucky we found a home in which to stay. Use the bus SITA to buy a trip to Amalfi to spend 4-5 hours. Well worth the 3euro cost. Other locations available too on this bus line. Sorrento can be visited as well using the public transportation. The winding roads leading from Sorrento to Positano and then to Amalfi will leave you spell bound. Sharp drops, scenic ocean views and the lovely speckle of homes up and down these cliffs is just breath taking. Highly recommend a visit to the area.
Our view from our room was stunning! We were very pleased with our room and have to say it was our best stay in Italy. I highly recommend newlyweds book their stay at Villa Nettuno. Additionally, our host Antonio was beyond kind, and hospitable, he gave the best advice on what to do while visiting Positano. My husband and I had such an amazing experience, and would love to return soon!
The location was a little tricky to find so make sure to read Antonios instructions on the app, which I failed to see.
Beautiful property, comfortable room, wonderful balcony overlooking the sea. This was one of our favorite hotels on our trip to Italy. The breakfast delivered to our room to enjoy on the balcony each morning was a highlight. Steps down to Arienzo beach club made it so convenient to spend time on the beach. Outside of the main busy area of Positano while still possible to walk down to restaurants and shops. Christian was very attentive and helped with anything we needed. Definitely recommend staying here!
Location and staff hospitality.
When we arrived, warm welcome from reception and the beltboy and staff are so helpful to carry up the heavy luggage and the welcome drink and your cheerful smile when we arrived.

It was me and my wife’s first time in Positano and we absolutely loved this boutique hotel. Tiziana knows all about the city so what ever you need she’s got you! It’s a nice walk to all of the shopping and beach.

Va bene Hotel Pupetto, Va bene!
We had the Junior Suite. The view is spectacular. The breakfast was one of the best. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Very clean room and very spacious. I would stay here again if I visit Positano in the future. You get the sense that everyone at this hotel is just nice and genuine. Really nice and good staff to have while on vacation.
The location of this hotel is amazing with a wonderful unobstructed view of the ocean! The breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had at a hotel and the cherry on the cake was the owner, Giovanni and his wonderful family who treated everybody like family! We had an unforgettable time in Positano and Al Barilotto del Nonno!
We loved our experience from the moment we arrived. Had just had a terrible experience in Capri and this was the complete opposite. We normally stay at 5 star hotels so we weren’t sure what to expect. This place exceeded expectations. Would recommend to anyone, everyone.
This boutique hotel has literally the best location as it sits about 150 meters away from a small and quiet beach, and away from the busier center of Positano.
It also offers an amazing view of the beach and sea and rooms are bright and nicely furnished and decorated.
The location was superb a few yards up the road was a 5 star hotel and we had the same view but the best thing were the staff , the hotel is family run and the owners and their daughters are the nicest, friendliest people you will ever meet fantastic service
The hotel location, the rooms, the views, the friendly family atmosphere, the staff, the Reception Management were truly amazing and made our holiday a wonderful experience.
We will definitely return to Positano and Hotel Poseidon in the future.

Host gave amazing instructions and directions to everything. She was responsive for all needs, the property had everything you would possibly need. Extremely clean and the best stay we had in Italy. This was better then every hotel stay that we had!
The best hotel we have stayed in during our trip to Italy
Breathtaking view of the sea.
The staff were extremely nice and helpful
Do not use google maps to get to the hotel as we did, you will end up clamping more than 1000 stairs steps.
Staff was lovely and helpful,
location is great, walking distance from any point in Positano - many steps and ups and downs walks,
but thats how Positano is.
Restaurant in the hotel is one of the bests(for dinner).

Location of the hotel is the best, right next to the main beach Positano Spiaggia and the main street. View from the restaurant terrace was amazing and and breakfast was very good.
